Improv Lisboa began in 2024, with a guy, a notebook, a yellow backpack and a red bag. Since then, the People of IL kept the weekly sessions going, and already organized a Show Jam to a sold out venue. Improv Lisboa aims to be a common ground where experienced players and newbies can join. We’ve all been newbies, and the Open sessions are a great way to take a first step in improv. We also have an intermediate session, for those who’ve tackled the fundamentals.

We believe in making improv accessible to everyone. Where’s the fun in practicing improv in a closed group with the same people? Our weekly open sessions welcome newcomers and seasoned players alike. These sessions explore the fundamentals of improvisation.

Promote advanced improv groups that help the community

People meet people in Improv Lisboa, and advanced groups are formed. Our very own Soup on stage is our first such example, and it shall not be the last.

Show off the improv
Through Show Jams, you’ll experience a one hour performance by an advanced group, followed by an open segment where everyone can jump in and perform.
